Roles and Functions
To identify areas of training
that contributes to the professional development and well-being
of all the faculty members.
To organise periodic shot-term
training programmes, and also seminars, Symposiums, Workshops,
State-level / National / International conferences.
To organise induction training
programmes for newly recruited staff.
To guide faculty to present
their work at local, national and international professional
conferences.
To encourage faculty members
in the publication of articles in journals, magazines.
To assist faculty in their
efforts to secure external funding for projects and research
work, including patents for innovative work.
To provide an oppurtunity
for faculty teaching in similar disciplines to share best
practices.
To conduct programs focussing
on interdisciplinary faculty and staff interaction, leadership
concepts and experiences and interaction with leaders on and
off campus.
To promote excellence in
teaching by developing teaching methodologies and utilising
the resource available in the institution.
To maintain an expertise
profile database of all the faculty members. |
