About the Department

         The Department of Automobile Engineering at MCET was started in the year 2007. The department aims to provide value based education with core competence to the students.
         The institution enjoys good rapport with several automobile majors in India and abroad, with the support of the Sakthi Group of Companies.
        This industry-academia partnership provides ample opportunities for the students to face real time projects. The students graduating from this stream have wide opportunities in the huge Automotive Sector in the country and more so in South India.
        The department encourages professional activity through the SAEINDIA Collegiate Club.
        The club provides a forum for the students from this department to engage and enrich their knowledge in the field of Automobile Engineering with its varied activities and also to have an exposure to the emerging technologies.
